Your writing about writer's block makes me realize with a wave of nausea that I haven't touched my writing in over a year. Non-writers have such a romantic vision of us sitting in a garret, our pens racing across the page, smiling down at the words that magically appeared. Really it's more like the scene in the movie Julia, where Jane Fonda, as Lillian Hellman, puffs on a cigarette typing away until she opens her window and throws the typewriter out. So glad you came through your bout to put lively words and thoughts to nostalgia. One of your gifts is taking something that we all think we understand and then giving it to us with a whole new vision. Thank you, as always, for giving me a sweet start to the work week. Much love from your auntie.

You captured the feeling perfectly! I absolutely felt like throwing my laptop out the window this week lol. My process is mainly just switching between my desk, and my bed, hunched over and squinting. Hardly the effortless, sexy vision of the writer. Hope you are able to find some time or desire to get back into your writing projects! Sending love. xx

Will be drinking something from the Jura region soon, sans the Panera bread-bowl. Support your small local sandwich shops! I like how we can see a little corner of Oscar in that shot. Xo

Glad you caught that cameo!

I think you and Steve would really like Jura. Lighter style funky wines. I'm sure the folks at Diversey Wine would have some great recommendations for you. Some of our fave producers are Ganevat, Domaine du Pelican, and Jean-Louis Tissot. xx
