Thank you for always finding words to take us to other places. I remember being a little girl, and when the smell of fresh cut grass made me feel like I was in another summer when I was even a littler girl I felt scared by the feeling - like I was being taken away from the "now." Later I understood how the sense of smell is so closely tied to memory. Good writing also takes us back to our memories, so thank you for that moment!
Thank you for sharing your memories! I totally relate. There's something about the smell of sprinklers on a freshly cut lawn that will always remind me of childhood summers.
Love the ideas around of scent. Was the scent of your own burning hair part of the Tasty experience? And that the description of scents in wine are best described as “comfortable silence between friends...unanimous and at odds” Xo

As usual thoroughly loved column. And yes I can still smell the first perfume I bought at the dime store soooo many years ago. Hugs
I love that you still remember! What was the name?

It was part of the tasty experience. It was like this sweet sickly burnt aroma. The smell of adolescence lol. So happy to have moved on from that!
Lit matches under my fingernails and I would never remember😃😃
